Arrests after Freeman Street knife attack

Two men have been arrested following an incident where one was attacked with a knife on Freeman Street, Grimsby, near to the Riby Square junction.

Humberside Police were called to the property, a flat on Freeman Street, after reports of an alleged knife attack at around 08:00 this morning.

They attended and officers collected evidence from the scene.

It was reported that a man had suffered knife wounds during the incident.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said

“Two men have been arrested following an incident which was reported to us at 8am today.

We were called to reports that a man had suffered knife wounds following an altercation inside flats on Freeman Street in Grimsby

Two men, thought to be neighbours, one of which was injured, have been arrested and will be questioned in connection with the incident.

We are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident, however if anyone has information that would help with our enquiries please call us on the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 51, March 30, 2020.”

The extent of the man’s injuries are currently unknown.
