Doncaster’s cemeteries reopen following new Government advice

Now, families can once again visit cemeteries to pay their respects and lay flowers to their loved ones.Rosehill Crematorium has reopened following a change in the law by the Government today (Wednesday 22 April).

People can visit the cemetery to pay their respects to a family or friend, observing physical distancing at all times, so it is safe for everyone visiting.  The changes do not affect the existing arrangements for the crematorium itself, which must remain closed other than for funerals.

Pedestrian access points into Cusworth Hall have also reopened to allow people to enjoy the park and gardens.

It is only the parkland itself that is open for pedestrians, therefore, the car park, its playground and the facilities at Cusworth Hall remain closed. Physical distancing guidelines still apply.

All Doncaster’s parks are open but any play equipment, Multi-Use Game Areas (MUGAs) and the sports courts across the borough continue to be closed.
