Scunthorpe murder suspects released on bail
Five people arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was found with fatal stab wounds in Crosby Avenue, Scunthorpe, have been released on bail.
Piotr Rafal Konior, 35, was found injured at an address in Crosby Avenue, Scunthorpe, on Saturday.
Three men and two women were arrested at the scene. Four have been released on conditional bail and a fifth unconditionally, police said.
Officers for Humberside Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
Police and ambulance services were called to the address on Crosby Avenue, Scunthorpe, at about 1:45am on Saturday.
They found a man inside a property with serious injuries who died soon afterwards despite almost immediate receiving medical treatment.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said:
“Our thoughts and condolences are with Piotr’s family at this distressing time.
“We continue our thorough police investigation and would appeal for anyone who might have information that would help with our enquiries to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 42 of 23 May 2020.”
All five suspects were arrested on the scene.
But, the people suspected of killing Mr Konior’s in a knife attack in Scunthorpe have now been released on bail.
Scene of crime officers remained on the scene throughout much of the weekend, investigating and reassuring residents.
The police investigation continues.
