TGI Fridays to reopen in Doncaster

Restaurant chain TGI Fridays has now announced the reopening date for its Doncaster branch.

The chain closed in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, but, it was recently announced that as of Saturday 4 July, restaurants would be permitted to reopen.

In order to facilitate the reopening, a number of coronavirus rules will be in place.

The firm will re-open 66 of its restaurants on July 6 in line with Government guidelines, including the branch at Doncaster Lakeside.

CEO, Robert B. Cook, said:

“It feels great to be able to welcome our guests back into our restaurants from Monday 6th July and once again give them that memorable Fridays experience.

“We are confident that guests will feel safe when they dine in our restaurants thanks to our COVID-19 safety management control measures that will safeguard our teams and our guests.”

Strict safety measures will be implemented in the Doncaster restaurant including social distancing, cleaning procedures and pre-bookings which are available now.

These measures include:

• Advance bookings are preferred, and is available for tables of up to six people.

• A socially distanced queuing system must be used.

• Hand sanitising stations are available and must be used on entry.

• Dedicated door hosts are in place to guide guests.

• Tables and chairs are being sanitised after each seating.

• There are separate queues for dining in, Click & Collect and delivery.

• Single use, FSC certified, 100% biodegradable menus are now in use.

While restaurants have been closed for in-restaurant dining during lockdown, click and collect and home delivery services at selected locations have remained available.
