Greggs to reopen more Doncaster stores
Greggs have confirmed that the company plan to reopen more of its Doncaster stores today.
The firm closed in March due to the coronavirus crisis, alongside several other fast-food chains.
They had in fact been permitted to remain open, but chose to close for the safety of customers.
Greggs have now said that the Doncaster stores which did not reopen two weeks ago will be opening today.
This means that the stores at Church Street, Armthorpe, at the Waterdale shopping centre, and at Onyx Retail Park, Wath, will be back open.
All stores will have social distancing measures in place.
The firm’s shops on Baxtergate in the town centre and the store in Wheatley Centre Shopping Parkboth opened on June 18.
Stores on the M18’s Moto service station on Junction 5, Hatfield, and the one at the Carcroft services on the A1, Skellow, have also already re-opened.
All Greggs stores now have safety floor markings, protective clothes for staff and screens at counters among several other measures to protect employees and customers, and avoid the spread of coronavirus.
Greggs had been allowed to stay open throughout the lockdown, offering takeaway services only, but bosses declined.
