Horrific three-car crash in west Hull
A male suspect has been arrested after a horrific three-car crash on a residential road in west Hull in the early hours of this morning.
Motorists were warned to avoid the area as officers for Humberside Police closed North Road, close to the junction with Boothferry Road.
The accident appeared to involve at least three cars, according to images of the aftermath shared by police.
Two of the cars were particularly badly damaged during the incident.
Officers from the Humber Roads Police team posted photographs on their Twitter page, and said:
“The aftermath of a collision in the early hours in Hull.
“One male is in custody for driving offences.”
They also confirmed that North Road would remain closed until 8am to allow for recovery of the damaged vehicles.
It is thought that the scene has been cleared and the road has reopened to motorists.
A statement released by Inrix at around 7.15am read:
“North Road in both directions closed, heavy traffic due to recovery work and accident, two cars involved between Norton Grove and A1105 Boothferry Road.
“The road remains closed for recovery, following an accident in the early hours.”
One man has been arrested on driving offences.
Nobody is thought to have been injured during the horrific three-car crash in west Hull.
