By Body discovered near Hull primary school
Humberside Police have released a statement following the discovery of a body near a Hull primary school.
The body of the man is believed to have been found at around 10pm on Monday near to Clifton Primary School on Waterloo Street.
This led to a large police presence in the area.
Officers say that the man has been identified and his family have been informed, but that no further details will be disclosed at this point.
A spokeswoman confirmed:
“We can confirm that sadly a body has been found on Waterloo Street on Monday night.
“Inquiries are in their very early stages.
“However, the family of the deceased has been informed and are being supported by the police. We will not be sharing any further details at this time.
“The circumstances of the death are not thought to be suspicious.”
