Scunthorpe United have signed four new players and announced Jordan Clarke as their new captain.

The club have signed Emmanuel Onariase, Aaron Jarvis, Lewis Spence and Kelsey Mooney.

As Scunthorpe United sign four new players, a new deal has also been given to new club captain, named as Jordan Clarke.

Centre-back Onariase, 24, has signed for an undisclosed fee.

He joins from Dagenham & Redbridge on a two-year deal.

Former Luton Town striker Jarvis, 23, and ex-Ross County midfielder Spence, 24, have also agreed two-year deals.

Former Aston Villa striker Mooney arrives on a one-year deal, the same length as defender Clarke’s contract.

Meanwhile, Accrington Stanley have signed former Scunthorpe United defender Cameron Burgess on a three-year contract.

He joined Scunthorpe for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2017.

Burgess made 73 appearances before spending all of last season at Salford.

Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman said:

“Cameron was my main target over the summer and I am glad we got it over the line.

“We had a terrible raft of injuries towards the end of last season and we were left with no centre halves so you have got to have competition.

“It could also lend to a change of system with the opportunity to play three at the back. This will cover all bases.”
