Updates on Doncaster Pride 2020

Due to the impact of the coronavirus crisis, Doncaster Pride is to be launched as an online event this year.

Doncaster Pride was originally due to take place in the city centre this month, but was sadly cancelled in July due to the ongoing pandemic.

Now, it has been announced that ‘Doncaster Pride at Home’ is set to begin on Saturday 8th August at 2pm, and will premier on Youtube.

Discussing the event, Damien Allen of Doncaster Council said:

“Due to the pandemic, Pride 2020 wont be able to take place as we know it.

“But, our dedicated pride team are determined to ensure that celebrations are still able to take place, and have organised pride at home.

“There is an amazing online line-up. Many of the acts from last years events are included.

“Everyone is invited to hold their own mini pride events with friends and family at home, maintaining a safe physical distance.”

People wishing to take part in this Saturday’s event can sign up via the organisation’s Youtube channel:

Party packs are also available via the Doncaster Pride website.
