Humberside Police have launched an investigation following an incident where a bin on Holderness Road, Hull, was set alight.

CCTV images have been released, and officers are asking the public for assistance in identifying the man shown in the pictures.

The fire, which took place on Saturday 18 July, is being treated as a suspected case of arson.

A bin was set alight in the incident.

Thankfully, the fire was extinguished before it could spread to the shop or flats above.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said:

“We want to speak with him in relation to a fire at a shop on Holderness Road, Hull on Saturday 18 July where a bin was set alight.

“We are treating this as a case of arson and a number of lines of enquiry have been carried out but now we need your help to ID this man so that we can speak to him about the incident.
