Free advice for Dudley’s GCSE students
GCSE students across Dudley can get free support and advice as they get their results today (Thursday).
Dudley Council’s Connexions team supports young people on their journey through education, training and employment and is providing virtual support to students throughout August and September.
They are open daily (Monday to Friday) from 9.30am to 4pm for students to call and ask for guidance on what they can do next. Advisers will be able to talk through a range of options and opportunities.
Stourbridge, Dudley North, Brierley Hill and Halesowen family centres will also be open today (August 20) from 9am to 5pm to offer support and help young people understand their results and their options.
Stourbridge Family Centre is on Forge Road, call 01384 818780, Dudley North Family Centre is on Bayer Street, Bilston, call 01384 813096, Brierley Hill Family Centre is 18 Parkes Street, Brierley Hill, call 01384 813322 and Halesowen Family Centre is on Lye By-Pass, Stourbridge, call 01384 813954.

Councillor Ruth Buttery, cabinet member for children’s services, said: “This is a nervous time for students in any year, but given the unprecedented circumstances even more so this year.
“I’m pleased Connexions and our family centres are offering this support to students.
“I would like to reassure those who may not get the results they were expecting that there is still hope. There are many options still available to them and we are here to support them and guide them through the process.”
