Violent robbery in Scunthorpe

Three men have been arrested following a violent and calculated robbery in Scunthorpe, Humberside Police have announced.
It was alleged that a takeaway driver was robbed when he was called to St Catherine’s Mews in Scunthorpe at 1.55pm yesterday.
Upon his arrival, the occupants of the property said that they hadn’t ordered food, and sent him away.
The driver then returned to his vehicle and called the number used to place the order, at which point two men appeared and stole the food from the car.
They were then joined by a third man.
When the driver challenged the group, he was assaulted, suffering injuries to his shoulder, head and hands.
All three left towards the rear of St Catherine’s Mews and were described as wearing black tracksuits.
Three men, aged 18, 21 and 20 were arrested at a nearby property in connection with the incident a short time later.
According to a statement issued by Humberside Police, the 21-year-old has been released on conditional bail, pending further enquiries.
The others remain in police custody.
