Two in custody after bus station fracas

Two people were arrested after police were called to reports of a fight allegedly involving a weapon in Grimsby town centre.

Officers attended after reports that three people had been assaulted at the bus station on George Street on Thursday shortly after 11pm.

Two men and a woman were found injured at the scene.

Both men were taken to hospital for treatment for serious injuries.

Humberside Police carried out searches and a man and woman were arrested nearby on suspicion of assault and both were taken into custody while enquiries continued.

Police are appealing to anyone that witnessed the incident or may have any dash cam footage, who has not already spoken to them, to call on the non-emergency 101 line quoting log 610 of 3 September.
