Pair charged with kidnap after victim escapes from Grimsby property
A man and a woman have been charged with kidnap following an incident where a naked man was seen escaping from the ground floor window of a residential property in Grimsby earlier this month.
The incident took place on Convamore Road, Grimsby, on Saturday, 12 September.
Emergency services were called to the scene after the front window of a house was smashed, and a man who was visibly injured was heard screaming from help.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene.
As a result, Humberside Police have announced that Michael Kavanagh and Emma Thompson will appear in court today.
Kavanagh, 32, of Winchester Avenue and Thompson, 32, of James Street, Barnsley, are jointly charged with both offences.
They have been remanded to appear before Grimsby Magistrates Court today, after they were arrested yesterday, Thursday, 25 September.
Detectives were seen examining the street and conducting door-to-door enquiries.
The investigation into the incident on Convamore Road is ongoing.
