Scunthorpe pizza customer found their car was the takeaway

A  Scunthorpe driver’s takeaway meal proved a costly one – when their car was seized while they collected it.

The vehicle was uninsured and spotted by Humberside Police officers parked on the zigzags near to a pedestrian crossing.

The Force commented on social media: “When collecting your takeaway it’s never a good idea to do so in your uninsured car, and then park on zigzags near to a pedestrian crossing.

“A short walk home in the rain with what has turned out to be a very expensive pizza. Driver #reported and vehicle #seized.”

Followers on Facebook commented “well done” to the North Lincolnshire team.
