Major Grimsby road closed after collision

A crash has resulted in a partial closure of Bargate, near Deansgate Bridge in Grimsby this afternoon.

Traffic is flowing through the area, however motorists are experiencing delays in the surrounding area as a result of the incident.

The crash is believed to have taken place at around midday at the junction between Bargate, Grosvenor Street and Dudley Street.

Two vehicles are thought to have been involved – a Vauxhall Corsa and a Fiat 500.

One person was seen being removed from a vehicle. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.

The situation is currently being managed by emergency services, Humberside Fire and Rescue were on the scene earlier today, but have now left.

Humberside Fire and Rescue, and Humberside Police have both been contacted for a statement.
