Yesterday, Humberside Police launched a manhunt which involved armed response officers, a dogs unit and a helicopter.
It was later confirmed that this was in connection with the search for wanted man Tom Allen, who was wanted following a serious assault on a man on Ladysmith Road on Thursday night.
Mr Allen is thought to have fled the scene on Thursday.

As part of the investigation, officers searched a property on Bluestone Close, while a cordon was put in place along part of Weelsby Street.
Detective Inspector Vicky Huyton said:
“Proactive action to locate Mr Allen continues and we are working tirelessly to find him, so that we can speak to him in connection with a reported assault at an address on Ladysmith Road, Grimsby on Thursday 8 October.
“Whilst the address search in Grimsby today proved negative, neighbourhood officers will maintain a visible presence in the area for community reassurance and to speak with any members of the public who have concerns.”
Mr Allen has now been located following the lengthy search.
According to Humberside Police, he is now helping with enquiries.
The victim’s condition remains unknown at this stage.
