Police on scene in Scunthorpe after reports man shot

Police are this morning at the scene of a serious incident in Scunthorpe after being called to reports of a man being shot.

The incident happened on Dale Street and officers were called shortly before midnight last night.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

DCI Phil Gadd of Humberside Police said: “Officers were called at 11.43pm yesterday (Monday) by paramedic staff following reports that a man has been shot.

“Armed offices arrived on scene shortly afterwards and two men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

“An investigation has been launched and police remain at the scene on Dale Street where a cordon is in place.”
