By New CT scanner suite to open in January
A new CT scanner has been installed in a special ‘Coastal’ suite at Grimsby’s hospital.
The Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust took receipt of the new CT scanner at the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, at the weekend.
It is housed in a purpose-built modular unit designed and built off site.
It is the second CT scanner at Grimsby hospital.
The new suite includes a patient waiting area and inpatient facilities for patients attending on trolleys and chairs.
It is a stand-alone unit adding to patients’ privacy and dignity while in the department.
The name of the suite – Coastal CT Suite – in addition to the graphics on the side on the unit, has been selected as a tribute to the local area and heritage.
The suite is set to open on January 11.
