Footpath to close on Garth Lane
Construction will run for five weeks making pedestrian and traffic access restricted near the site on Frederick Ward Way.

The footpath along Grimsby’s Frederick Ward Way has been temporarily closed from today, 18 January, ahead of the footbridge installation works.
The bridge will connect the Riverhead and Garth Lane in a £3.5m effort to help improve the riverside.
Frederick Ward Way’s inside traffic lane will also be closed as well as two main traffic islands in the middle of the carriageway will be closed to all pedestrians whilst the work is being completed.
There is a permanent diversion along Alexandra Road.
The project, which is being managed by ENGIE on behalf of North East Lincolnshire Council, is supported by £1.3m secured by the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership from the Local Growth Fund.
ENGIE are also partnered with the regeneration project to improve family-friendly space with new furniture, planting, lighting and CCTV, such as near St James’ Square.
A further £2.2m has also been awarded by The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government with funding released as a result of the Grimsby Town Deal.
Once the work is complete both pedestrians and cyclists will be able to use the bridge in March.
