Parking solutions in Cleethorpes to be discussed

Politicians are urging members of the public to come forward with their ideas to solve limited parking issues in Cleethorpes.

Complaints amid Cleethorpes' parking restrictions

Roy Horobin of the Cleethorpes Lib Dems, has said: “Parking is a really big issue in parts of Cleethorpes.  We’re trying to come up with solutions And we’re keen to hear other ideas.”

He added the issues are mainly in “the heart of Cleethorpes”, places where people do not have driveways and streets near the seafront.

Members of the party are urging more local people to voice their ideas on ways parking can be improved and whether or not they believe it to be an issue near them.

They have suggested reviewing all areas which have double yellow lines to see if it would be suitable for them to be removed and allow people to park there.

Another idea which has been put forward is to drop the speed limit to 20mph and introduce diagonal parking.

One other option is to introduce parking on unused land such as where the old Bursar school is and turn it into a multi level parking area.

To send your ideas you can contact Mr Horobin via email: roylibdem35@gmail.com or via mobile 07971705132.
