Scunthorpe motorist arrested on drug charges

Two men were arrested following a vehicle stop on Scunthorpe’s Pintail Close yesterday.

Upon searching the vehicle Humberside Police officers discovered approximately £1000 cash, a lock knife and a quantity of drugs.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife and possession of class A drugs.

An 28-year-old man was also arrested on suspicious of possessing a knife and the supply of a controlled drug.

Both men remain in police custody whilst investigations continue.

Officers for the Humberside Police roads team in Grimsby also had a busy night, with two separate arrests.

A vehicle flagged as stolen was brought to a safe stop in Grimsby, before the driver was found to be disqualified and wanted for further offences.

He was arrested and taken into police custody.

The vehicle was also seized.

Shortly after, officers returned to Grimsby’s roads for an intelligence stop of another vehicle.

Once the vehicle was bought to a safe stop, officers seized a large amount of Class A drugs, cash and mobile phones.

The male driver was arrested and remains in police custody.
