He then threatened staff with a weapon as they tried to prevent him leaving, according to Humberside Police.

A second man was waiting outside the shop and both men fled with the trolley of goods.

In a separate incident, at about 05:00 on Wednesday 24 February, a man was assaulted and robbed by two men as withdrew money from a cash machine on Frodingham Road.

The two men approached the victim with a weapon, assaulted him causing serious injuries and stole his bike and £100 in cash.
