Police appealing for information on Rutland Street stabbing last night

Humberside Police are appealing for information and witnesses to a stabbing on Rutland Street in Grimsby last night.

At around 6.40pm, emergency services were called to the scene after a 36-year-old man was stabbed.

He was rushed to hospital by ambulance with “serious, life threatening” wounds to his head.

A statement from Humberside Police reads: “Officers investigating reports of a stabbing in Grimsby earlier this evening are appealing for information and witnesses.

“Emergency services were called at 6:40pm on Saturday 24 April to Rutland Street in Grimsby. A 36-year-old man was found with serious, life threatening wounds to his head, he was taken to hospital by ambulance where he remains in a critical condition.

“Officers remain in the area conducting enquiries.

“Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have witnessed the assault or have any information that can help with their enquiries.

“If you can help please call 101 quoting log 544 of 24 April 2021.”
