North East Lincolnshire Council have announced a programme of works which will result in more than 50 road closures across Cleethorpes and Scartho.

Works will begin on Monday 14 June, and are expected to be completed by Tuesday 22 June, subject to weather conditions.

Contractors will be using a process which involves applying a bitumen emulsion spray to the road, followed by a layer of stone chippings which are spread and rolled into the existing road surface.

This seals the existing surface from water, improves the surface texture and extends the life of the road.

Once the surface treatment has been completed vehicles can run on the surface immediately.

A full road closure will be in place between 7.30am and 6pm on the day of the works.

Works will take one day to complete at the majority of the locations, but some streets will take two days due to the size.
