Man and woman charged following Grimsby Road robbery
A man and woman have been charged following the robbery which took place at the Premier Express convenience shop on Grimsby Road on Saturday.
Police say the man and woman entered the shop and the man proceeded to threaten a member of staff with a weapon.
The pair then left the shop and are believed to have stolen a number of items.
Humberside Police have released a statement which reads: “Following an incident Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes on Saturday 12 June a 33-year-old man and 30-year-old woman have been charged.
“The 33-year-old man has been charged with robbery and possession of bladed article and was remanded in custody to appear at Grimsby Magistrates Court today (Monday 14 June).
“The 30-year-old woman has been charged with handling stolen goods and was released to appear at court at a later date.
“It is reported that after a man and woman entered a business premise, the man threatened a member of staff with a weapon. The man and woman then exited the store and are believed to have taken a quantity of goods.
“We are asking for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious around this time, or anyone who may have information about the incident to contact us by calling our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 606 of 12 June.”
