Police investigating after assault in Grimsby pub which knocked man unconscious
Humberside Police are currently investigating an assault which took place on Friday 28 May at 11:30pm at a Grimsby pub on St Nicholas Drive.
It has been reported that the man was assaulted whilst he sat at the bar.
Reportedly, he was approached from behind by an unknown man and pulled backwards off a stool, after which he fell to the floor and was knocked unconscious.
The unknown man then assaulted the victim before staff intervened.
The victim sustained a serious leg injury and was taken to hospital, where he required medical treatment.
Now, Humberside Police are appealing to the public for any information that can help them in their investigation.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, knows the man in question, or who believes they were in the area at the time of the incident who may be able to assist us with our enquiries to please contact us.
