Incredible photographs show Grimsby’s changing landscape!

Fantastic aerial images captured by a local drone photographer have allowed a unique view into the changing landscape of our local community.

The footage, submitted by APS Drones, document a fishing town with rich history that few would deny would benefit from significant investment.

The images highlight the powerful, tight-knit community that surrounds Grimsby’s most iconic landmarks, including Blundell Park, the Dock Tower, and Grimsby Minster.

But amongst the well-looked after buildings were signs of decay and neglect, showing a number of outdated buildings, construction sites and dilapidated properties.

Over the past few years, North East Lincolnshire Council has announced numerous plans to invest money to breathe life back into the town, but some might argue that so far nothing tangible has materialised.

In 2021, the council announced a £27m development project in Grimsby Town Centre, which is set to begin in 2025.
The proposal includes plans for a new multi-screen cinema and market hall to ‘rejuvenate’ the area, but so far the plans have been met with mixed reviews.
