Iconic Cleethorpes scenery transformed into beautiful art

Iconic scenes from Cleethorpes have been transformed into artwork.

Sarah Palmer, a talented artist and local business owner of The House with the Blue Door, has created a piece of artwork for one of the resort’s landmark buildings.

The artwork was commissioned by the Cleethorpes Library as part of a creative project to design new window panels.

Caroline Moorby, Arts Development Office, Lincs Inspire said:

“The redesign was a great opportunity to be creative and celebrate everything we love about Cleethorpes. Sarah’s sketches are so colourful and distinctive, they make us pause to appreciate the beauty we have on our doorstep. We’re delighted with the outcome.”

The artwork created by Sarah illustrates The Ferris Wheel, The Mouse & Moon, The Boy with the Leaking Boot, The Pier and finally, the Cleethopres Library itself.

The artist, Sarah, said: “I was so happy to work on this lovely project celebrating some of the landmarks of the area”

“I hope that my work brightens the front of the library building”, she added.
