Red Arrows confirm upcoming display in Cleethorpes

The Royal Airforce has confirmed that the Red Arrows will be in attendance at this years Armed Forces Day events in Cleethorpes.

Locals will be able to see the Red Arrows in action on the 25th of June 2022 as part of the festival.

North East Lincolnshire’s Armed Forces weekend will take place across Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June.

The event has sadly been cancelled for the last two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But organisers have said that this years Cleethorpes Armed Forces weekend will be “bigger and better.”

Part of the plan is to bring back the much-loved Cleethorpes Carnival Parade, according to reports.

A spokesperson for the local Armed Forces Major Events Team said: “This event will also demonstrate through very large public attendance the true resilience of the United Kingdom and our ability to recover confidence in hosting large public events in a safe and friendly environment at Cleethorpes.

“We will support the team in the coming year to bring Armed Forces Day back to its normal slot next year, and help deliver a great event in 2022.”

The event is also expected to involve stalls, parades, entertainment, and capability demonstrations.
