Woman’s body discovered in Grimsby house

A scene guard is currently guarding a property on the Nunsthorpe Estate in Grimsby following the discovery of a woman’s body.

Police were called to Shelley Avenue following the discovery of a body yesterday, Wednesday the 6th of April.

The family of the woman have been informed and the death is currently being treated as unexplained, according to Humberside Police.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers attended at a property on Shelley Avenue, Grimsby, yesterday (Wednesday 6 April) following the discovery of a woman’s body.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a scene guard remains in place whilst officers carry out lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.

“The woman’s family are being supported by police officers.”
