Cleethorpes Town set for ‘biggest’ game in their history
Cleethorpes Town are set to play “one of the biggest games in their history” tonight.
The Owls will battle it out against Stockton Town in the play-off semi-finals as they push for league promotion.
Clee will be hoping they can cement their impressive campaign, which has seen them win 26 fixtures, with a strong climax.
The Owls gaffer, Dave Smith, said their place at the semi-finals reflects “36 games of hard work”
Adding:
“I want to congratulate my players and staff for this achievement.
“The challenge in front of us is a tough one but we are well prepared and ready.
“It’s been a great campaign overall, and we are looking to top it off with promotion!”
Reveling in the season’s glory, and the potential prospects if Clee Town win tonight, club Secretary David Simpson stated:
“I would like to thank our loyal fans, who have been superb, and all our many generous sponsors.
“Without the support of the local community, we would not be in this great position.
“Anything can happen tonight, but I have every confidence that we can get the win”
Everybody at Gi Grimsby News would like to wish the Owls the best of luck tonight!
