Five boys arrested after violent attack on police officers 

Five boys have been arrested following a violent attack on police officers in the early hours. 

Humberside Police officers were called to a reported disturbance outside a premises on Ashby Road, Scunthorpe. 

The incident took place at around 1:00am on Sunday 22 May. 

 Upon arrival, two police officers were allegedly assaulted by several youths pictured in a large group at the scene, the force said.

Subsequently, five boys aged between 15 and 16 were arrested on suspicion of public order offences. 

It is understood that one of the boys has since been released with no further action. The remaining perpetrators have been released under investigation. 

Humberside Police are now appealing for information following the violent clash.
