Concerns over underage drinkers leaving house parties ‘quite worse for wear’

Local authorities have raised concerns over underage drinkers leaving house parties “quite worse for wear”

As the evenings become warmer, Humberside Police have been made aware, and on some occasions, visited house parties with a large presence of children in attendance.

“It has unfortunately come to our attention that these parties are being supplied with alcohol with under 18s then spilling out onto the streets of Epworth quite worse for wear”, the force said.

“This is not only unsafe, but is harmful to children and the local community”, they added.

It is understood that an investigation is now ongoing to identify the properties and adults that are facilitating these activities.

Subsequently, additional patrols will now be deployed in the Turbury area to “protect children from the harm of alcohol”

It is also hoped that such patrols will eradicate criminality and criminal damage after intoxicated children flood the streets.

“Should you witness these types of “House Parties” whereby underage drinking is taking place and ASB is being caused then please call us on 101 with as much information as possible”, Humberside Police stated.
