Belong Scunthorpe are on a mission to elevate the town’s Esports scene with an inclusive, interactive gaming experience for all! 

Gaming has become more than just a hobby for some avid players. Now, gamers have a wealth of opportunities thanks to the growing popularity of Esports and social media. 

Much like football teams, Esports organisations possess rosters of unimaginable monetary value. According to Forbes, the top 10 Esports companies are worth a combined total of $3.5 billion. 

Now, Scunthorpe has a venue for casual and competitive gamers to play, interact, and enjoy themselves, all thanks to Belong Scunthorpe. 

Belong is a community which is open for all, diversity and inclusivity is a priory for the owners. 

Completed in November of 2020, the venue has only been available to the public since March of last year. 

Belong currently run community nights on a Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday between 6pm to 9pm where teams across the county compete in the Arena Cup and Arena Clash tournaments. 

The venue offers state of the art setups for all gamers to utilise. Each station includes a high-powered PC, a PlayStation 5, and an Xbox Series X console. 

Furthermore, Belong run competitions across several intellectual properties to accommodate for everybody’s taste in video games, such as Fifa 22, Rocket League, League of Legends, Valorant, Fortnite, Call of Duty Warzone, Apex Legends and many more! 

Tournaments are held most months across numerous titles. For the upcoming Jubilee week, Belong are set to host an incredible Fall Guys competition, open to EVERYONE, which will see the winner take home £530. 

When asked about their goals, a spokesperson for the Esports establishment said:  

“The goal is that all gamers can feel like they’re part of something bigger with Belong” 

“We want to build the ultimate gaming community where both casual and competitive gamers can come together in our space to play, watch and compete”, they added. 

“It’s a massive opportunity for local gamers to take the next step in e-sports. I know there is a passionate community here in Scunthorpe”
