Serious incident leaves three injured in Scunthorpe
A serious incident has left three injured as a large police presence descended on Scunthorpe street.
Last night (Wednesday 15 June), Humberside Police were called to Theodore Road and Henderson Avenue at around 9pm. According to eyewitness reports, a “heavy” police presence was spotted at the scene. It is also believed that an air ambulance had attended the scene.
The incident left a member of the public and two police officers with injuries. All three were rushed to hospital to receive medical assistance.
Humberside Police stated they were called to the vicinity following safety concerns but have since stressed that there is no wider risk to public safety.
Theodore Road remained cordoned off late night whilst officers continued their investigation.
In a statement, the force did not identify the nature of the incident, or how three individuals obtained their injuries. However, they did confirm the area is now safe, adding: “There is no wider risk to the public”
