Tollbar Academy shakes up final school day with family fun

Tollbar Academy in Grimsby will be modifying the final school day, July 25th, to become an exciting family fun day.

This ‘fun day’ is very unusual for Tollbar Academy but is definitely one to remember.

This day will also be a welcome distraction away from covid, and how the children deserve a break and a chance to enjoy their last day before returning in September.

The children have the chance to experience a movie at the cinema, a trip to the deep, a walk in the wolds and even ‘It’s a knockout,’ a fun competition involving a giant inflatable obstacle course at the academy.

The prices range from £0-£16, and the academy have even organised an ice cream van which will be serving ice creams to the children at £1.40.

For the children choosing the cinema the price of £12.70 also includes a drink snack and transport.

The children are still expected to wear their full academy uniform unless attending the knockout course where they can wear their academy PE kit.

Places for each activity are limited, places will be given out on a first come first serve bases.

Parents had until Wednesday 13th July at 3pm to pay the full price of there child’s chosen activity.

In an email sent out on July 14th the academy have decided to assist families, they will extend the deadline for the payment until 4pm in July 14th giving parents an extra 25hrs.

For the children who decide to not to take part in the activities organised, they are still expected to go along to the academy, where the school will run as a ‘normal academy day.’
