Sex offender in court after ‘humiliating’ ordeal
A man has appeared in court after he used “power, control and humiliation” to abuse his female victim in an ‘appalling’ incident.
According to reports Stephen Miller, 43, had been watching pornography before launching a sexual attack in Grimsby, during which he ignored his victim’s pleas for him to stop.
Judge Michael Fanning said: “This is not about sexual gratification.
“This is about power, control and humiliation and nothing else. It’s more serious for that. She felt degraded, humiliated and embarrassed.
“You were telling her that she deserved it.
“Although she repeatedly told you to stop doing this, it went on.
“Power, control and humiliation, that’s what you wanted to inflict on your victim.”
Miller pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault. He has been jailed for two years and five months.
He was also handed a restraining order and will be registered as a sex offender for the next 10 years.
