Scunthorpe woman charged with murder
A 45-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of 35-year-old Piotr Rafal Konior last month in Scunthorpe.
Malgorzata Pytlak of Crosby Avenue, Scunthorpe, was charged last night and was remanded into custody.
She is due to appear via video link at Grimsby Magistrates Court this morning.
An investigation was launched after Mr Konior was found seriously injured at an address on Crosby Avenue, Scunthorpe.
The incident occurred at around 1:30am on Saturday 23 May, when neighbours reported hearing screams after he was injured in a knife attack.
He was given medical attention at the scene but was sadly pronounced deceased a short time later.
Five people were arrested on suspicion of Mr Konior’s murder.
Four of those have been released on conditional bail and a fifth was released unconditionally.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police has said:
“Mr Konior’s family have been informed of the update in the investigation and continue to receive support from specially trained officers.”
Three men also arrested on suspicion of murder at the same time as Pytlak remain on conditional bail as enquiries continue.
