Sheffield Crown Court heard how Ms Pytlak ran naked into the street and into a shop shortly after the incident.

The claim was made as she made her second court appearance in three days.

Malgorzata Pytlak, 45, is charged with using a weapon to murder Piotr Konior, 35, on May 23.

Pytlak appeared in custody before Sheffield Crown Court via a video link from New Hall Prison, near Wakefield.

She had previously appeared before Grimsby Magistrates’ Court, where she had been remanded in custody.

Prosecutor Jonathan Sharp told the court that Pytlak “ran naked into the street and into a local convenience store.”

He added that it was possible three other people who have been released while the investigation continues might eventually be charged following the death.

A provisional trial date has been set for November 30.

It is expected that the trial will last between 5 and 10 days.

Police investigations are understood to be continuing.

Pytlak, who was highly emotional throughout the court hearing, was remanded in custody following this latest court appearance.

She was helped during the hearing by a Polish interpreter, who joined the court via a video link.

Earlier in the investigation, a spokesperson for Humberside Police said:

“Mr Konior’s family have been informed of the update in the investigation and continue to receive support from specially trained officers.

“Three men also arrested on suspicion of murder at the same time as Pytlak remain on conditional bail as inquiries continue.”
