New bus shelter to be installed
A new bus shelter is to be installed on Monday 14th March.
The bus stop, provided by ClearChannel, is set to be installed on Sea Road, Cleethorpes
The work was supposed to be installed as part of the works to improve the area after being delayed due to COVID-19.
ClearChannel will be staging the installation near the Dolphin Gardens side.
There will be some pedestrian management on the footpaths in the area but traffic will reportedly not be affected, according to NELC.
“The works will take a couple of days to complete”.
“The works have been funded through the Humber and East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership as part of the Sea Road works”.
Cabinet members have also approved nearly £3m of Government money to improve and maintain the carriageways, footpaths, and highway structures of North East Lincolnshire.
A further £1.1m of pothole funding has been awarded to the council, bringing the highways funding available for the upcoming year to £3,981,000.
Following the approval, Councillor Swinburn, said: “The Local Transport Plan sets out the works to be delivered across the highways and transport service in the coming year. This includes day-to-day traffic and travel management such as highway maintenance and road safety works, which keep our borough moving.
