Grimsby woman jailed after racking up nearly 50 convictions
A Grimsby woman who was previously part of a County Lines network has been jailed.
Rachel Thompson, 42, of Woodyard Court, admitted being in breach of a suspended sentence when she was caught shoplifting at Asda and at the Next store in Grimsby
She also admitted failing to surrender to court.
Prosecuting, Amber Hobson said the offences, committed on December 21 last year and on January 1, put her in breach of a suspended 16-month prison sentence.
These were imposed for offences of affray and possessing a knife.
The suspended sentence was imposed by Judge John Thackray QC in July 2020.
Thompson had been spotted ranting in Town Hall Square next to the crown court and pulled a knife out on her ex-boyfriend on October 9, 2019.
Thompson had convictions for 49 previous offences.
This included a sentence of three years and 11 months in 2002 for robbery and burglary.
She had convictions for possessing heroin and crack cocaine in June last year, accordingly related to a case involving Manchester dealers.
She was found with crack cocaine and heroin with a street value of £1,000 at a house used by a County lines drug dealer.
In October 2019 she shoved the knife towards her ex-boyfriend’s chest as though she was going to stab him, including raising it to his face.
When Police attended, she threw the lock knife, with a three-inch serrated blade, under a car.
The knife was later found.
Judge Michael Fanning said the offences were the second time she had breached a suspended sentence.
He imposed a total of 12 months in prison and ordered a surcharge of £128.
