By Local council catches anti-social youths red handed
Anti-social youths engaging in destructive behaviour have been caught red handed by a local council.
Winterton Town Council have been on a mission to eradicate anti-social and criminal behaviour across the small town.
The council stated they like to “champion” the younger members of their community who have “so much to offer the town,” but sadly a small minority of youths ruin the peaceful town for the majority.
The council further confirmed they have been working alongside local policing teams to identify perpetrators across Winterton who are actively causing trouble.
In a statement, Winterton Town Council said:
“We thought you would like an update on a recent event that through reports to 101, successful capture of the incident using the CCTV footage and really proactive response from our local policing team four youths have been referred to the ASB panel and their families will be subject to joint visits with ONGO.
“ONGO continue to monitor the responsibilities of their tenants. We hope that this action will encourage them to make better behaviour choices in the future.”
Additionally, the council are urging members of the public to report “any form of ASB or vandalism” they may witness to Humberside Police’s 101 number, adding: “The system does work.”
