Massive police crackdown on anti-social behaviour in North Lincolnshire

Young adults have faced serious repercussions after a massive police crackdown on anti-social activities.

Humberside Police, working alongside ONGO housing and Parish councillors, have responded with force following ongoing reports of damage, drug use, drug dealing, underage drinking, littering and general ASB in Haxey.

The force, who attended with Delta drug services, placed a section 34 dispersal notice onto a large group of young adults in the small village. Additionally, the offenders have all been issued with a section 35 notice and a map of the exclusion zone.

The dispersal notices will cover Haxey Park, Blackmoor Bridge, Blackmoor Road, Public toilets, Vinehall Road and Haxey carr.

In a statement, Humberside Police said:

“All young adults have been sent home to family and advised they will be arrestable if they breach this order.

“Stop searches of vehicles and persons were conducted and any identified findings/offences will be dealt with accordingly.”

Residents responded to the crackdown on anti-social behaviour with positive messages, one saying:

“I truly hope that this will help some of these young people make a positive change for themselves and their futures.”

“Thank goodness, something needs to be done about these threatening youths, so many thanks,” added another.

“Great, about time these youths are dealt with appropriately, they are spoiling the village, ruining the lives of residents, the lives of youngsters they drag into their web and the future of children that won’t be able to have anything nice because of them,” replied another.

Humberside Police further added the youths engaging in anti-social and criminal behaviour “were made to clear the rubbish from under the bridge before we issued the dispersal.”

Patrols across Haxey will continue throughout the evening and over the coming weekend.
